How to Use OXVA XLIM Pro 4

OXVA XLIM Pro 4 User Guide: Daily Use, Settings & Common Questions

Getting familiar with a new vape should not mean memorising an entire manual.

With the OXVA XLIM Pro 4, most everyday use comes down to a few simple things: understanding the screen, finding the airflow you like, adjusting wattage when needed, and knowing what common protection messages mean.

This guide focuses on the questions you are most likely to have after you actually start using the XLIM Pro 4.

XLIM Pro 4 Controls: Quick Reference

What you want to do How
Wake the screen Press once
Open the menu Press twice
Adjust wattage Press 3 times
Lock / unlock fire button Press 4 times
Power on / off Press 5 times
Turn Anti-Burn on / off Press 8 times consecutively

The menu also includes Theme, Light, Clear Puffs and ECO Mode.

You do not need to memorise every shortcut immediately. In everyday use, the wattage control, lock function and menu are usually the ones you will use most.

Getting Started: Airflow First, Wattage Second

After filling a new cartridge, wait for at least 30 seconds before your first puff so the coil has time to absorb the e-liquid.

Once the cartridge is installed and the device is powered on, start with the airflow rather than immediately changing the wattage.

The XLIM Pro 4 uses a vertical airflow slider:

  • Reduce the airflow for a tighter MTL-style draw
  • Open it further for a looser RDL-style draw

Once the draw feels comfortable, fine-tune the wattage if necessary.

This matters because airflow can change the feel of a puff just as much as power. If the draw itself feels wrong, increasing or decreasing wattage may not solve the real issue.

The XLIM Pro 4 supports up to 30W, but the maximum setting is not automatically the best setting. Higher power generally feels warmer and more intense, while lower power can feel cooler and softer.

A good rule is simple:

Find the airflow you like first, then use wattage to fine-tune the experience.

Know What the Screen Is Telling You

The XLIM Pro 4 screen gives you more useful information than just the wattage.

At a glance, you can check:

  • Battery percentage
  • Current wattage
  • Pod resistance
  • Puffing time
  • Puff count
  • Fire button lock status
  • ABT status

These indicators are often the quickest way to understand why the device suddenly feels different.

If the vape feels weaker than usual, check the battery level and wattage first.

If the fire button does not respond, look at the lock icon before assuming something is wrong.

And if you want to keep track of your usage, the puff counter can be cleared from the menu whenever you want to start again from zero.

One Button, Most Daily Controls

The XLIM Pro 4 keeps nearly all everyday controls on one button.

Three clicks lets you adjust wattage, while four clicks locks or unlocks the fire button. The lock function is useful when carrying the device in a pocket or bag and helps reduce accidental button presses.

Two clicks opens the menu, where you can access:

  • Theme
  • Light
  • Clear Puffs
  • ECO Mode

Theme and lighting are mainly personal preferences. Clear Puffs is useful if you want to restart your puff count, while ECO Mode is designed for situations where saving battery matters more than visual effects.

The idea is not to constantly adjust settings. Once you find a setup you like, most of these controls only need occasional use.

Button Activation or Auto Draw?

The XLIM Pro 4 can be activated in two ways:

Press the fire button or simply inhale using Auto Draw.

You do not have to choose one permanently.

Button activation gives you more deliberate control over each puff, while Auto Draw is convenient when you simply want to pick up the device and use it.

If Auto Draw feels less responsive than usual, check the airflow and look for visible condensation before assuming there is a device problem.

A very open airflow combined with a very light inhale can feel different from a more restricted setup.

Low Battery? ECO Mode Can Help

When the battery is running low, you do not necessarily need to change the way you vape just to make the remaining charge last longer.

The XLIM Pro 4 includes ECO Mode, which reduces unnecessary screen-related power use.

You can access ECO Mode from the device menu, and the device can also offer a quick way to switch when the battery becomes low.

Think of it as a power-saving display mode, rather than a different vaping mode.

It is especially useful when you know you will not be able to charge immediately.

Anti-Burn in Everyday Use

Anti-Burn protection is designed to work mostly in the background.

In normal use, you may barely notice it until the e-liquid level becomes too low.

When that happens, the device can stop output and display:

PLEASE FILL THE POD

This is a protection reminder rather than automatically being a fault.

When you see it:

  1. Stop vaping
  2. Check the e-liquid level
  3. Refill
  4. Give the e-liquid time to reach the coil
  5. Continue using the device

To enable or disable Anti-Burn, press the button 8 times consecutively.

Understanding Common Screen Messages

Not every screen message means something is wrong.

LOW BATTERY
The battery needs charging.

TIMEOUT
A single puff lasted longer than 8 seconds, so the device stopped output automatically.

PLEASE FILL THE POD
The e-liquid level needs attention before you continue.

These usually only require a simple action.

Other messages deserve a little more checking:

NO POD
The cartridge is not being detected.

SHORT CIRCUIT
The device has detected an abnormal electrical condition.

HIGH TEMP
The internal temperature has become too high.

If one of these messages remains after a basic check, further troubleshooting may be needed.

Quick Troubleshooting

XLIM Pro 4 says “NO POD”

Remove the cartridge, clean and dry the contact area, then reinstall it firmly. If the message remains, try another cartridge or contact OXVA Support.

XLIM Pro 4 shows “SHORT CIRCUIT”

Check the cartridge and contact points. If the warning continues after reinstalling or testing another cartridge, stop using the device and contact support.

XLIM Pro 4 is not charging

Make sure the Type-C cable is securely connected and that the charging port is clean and dry. The device supports Type-C 5V/3A charging.

XLIM Pro 4 won't turn on

Press the fire button 5 times within 2 seconds. If there is no response, charge the device and try again.

XLIM Pro 4 shows “HIGH TEMP”

Stop using the device and allow it to cool naturally. If the warning appears repeatedly during normal use, contact OXVA Support.

A Few Habits That Make Daily Use Easier

You do not need to keep adjusting the XLIM Pro 4 to get a good everyday experience.

A few simple habits are usually enough:

  • Let a fresh cartridge absorb e-liquid before the first puff
  • Adjust airflow before fine-tuning wattage
  • Do not automatically use the highest power
  • Check the screen before assuming something is wrong
  • Use the lock function when carrying the device
  • Switch to ECO Mode when battery life matters more than screen effects
  • Clean visible condensation around the cartridge connection when necessary

Once these basics become familiar, most settings fade into the background and the device becomes much easier to use naturally.
